Honey is a yummy alternative to sugar, and has healthy antiseptic properties. The Honey Association bring you this recipe because honey goes so deliciously well with carrots.

Honey Carrots

Serves 4

You will need:

  • 500 g (1 lb) baby carrots
  • 1 tablespoon (15 ml) olive oil margarine
  • 2 tablespoons honey
  • 2 tablespoons finely chopped parsley

Method:

Steam or boil the carrots in a small amount of water for about 10 minutes or until they are tender-crisp. Drain.

Meanwhile, melt the margarine in a pan over a medium heat. Add the honey and carrots, reduce the heat and turn the carrots frequently for 1 -2 minutes until they are well glazed. Sprinkle with parsley.
