Living with ADHD
ADHD, or Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder to give it its full name, can look like bad behaviour. Ignoring instructions, carelessness, disorganization, running around when it's just not appropriate, blurting out the answer before the question is asked, not waiting in line, and so on and so on. But when you put all these things together and have them happen day in, day out to an otherwise gorgeous child, they become an exhausting condition that drives parents crazy.
Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder (ADHD) and Attention Deficit Disorder ADD refer to a range of problem behaviours associated with poor attention span.
Children with ADHD have unusually short attention spans and become easily distracted, they are also overactive and restless. ADHD is sometimes referred to as hyperkinetic disorder. Progress at school and development of social skills are often slowed down by ADHD in children.
In this section find out more about how ADHD affects children, including What is ADHD, Symptoms of ADHD, Causes of ADHD, the Association between ADHD and Diet, and lots more.
