Daisy Lane Home-School Readers are a series of 12 books designed to appeal to young children, with colorful illustrations and lively stories. Primarily for children aged between three and five years and who are in the Early Years Foundation Stage, the readers are ideal for children who have started to show an interest in books or are just beginning to read.
The 12 books follow Ollie and Jazz, a brother and sister who live and play in and around Daisy Lane, each book is either a 'sound' story, which encourages development of phonological awareness through rhyme and alliteration, or is a 'key word' story which uses repetition to support prediction and word recognition.
The readers can be used at home for parents to share with children and can also be used in school to support existing curriculum reading materials. Each book contains helpful guidance notes for parents and practitioners on reading skills and strategies.
Included in the prize are also two Home-School Guides to Reading for parents and other helpers which are fully compatible with the Daisy Lane Home-School Readers.
We have teamed up with Schofield & Sims to give away ten sets of their Daisy Lane Home-School Readers and Home-School Guides to Reading. (worth £41.30 each)
